The jalebi tasted bitter and had an awful flavour, I had to throw it away after one bite. The rasgolla looked really nice and tasted perfect. The spinach pakora tasted alright but was very dry. Their chutneys (sauces) are really good.
We had gulab-jaman and tea there. it was quite decent. it's a good option to have on Gerrard as there aren't too many places that serve sweets.
Went to Motimahal for the first time today as I was referred by a friend. This is a simple restaurant with a large menu of Indian dishes. There is no waiter service and sort of reminds me of a cafeteria style restaurant. The dishes are fairly priced and quite good. I did find that some of the dishes had a little more salt than what I am used to, but not sure if it is usually made that way.Overall, good bang for the buck in my opinion when compared to other Indian restaurants that I have been to in the past.
I have been to this Indian restaurant a million times.... love the food. It is sad that I have moved to west end an not able to go there regularly.Nevertheless I do try to visit this place when I am able to.... best Choke bhatureThali And many other finger licking foods
Visited the location on Gerrard street with my partner and family friend. No fuss, family style cafeteria service - very clean. The food was simply amazing, tasty and fresh and true to its culture.Between the tree of us we ordered the Dosa, channa and veggie thali with 3 hearty generous options - but just try to decide.Service was very courteous and overall pleasant atmosphere. Highly recommended for those wanting to experience authentic southeast Asian food home-style, without the fuss and expense of other dining establishments.
