This is a farm to table the Californian restaurant with an Italian flare. We are here a few times and every dish is well designed and executed. While the restaurant is owned by a film director, it is not one of these Toronto big name restaurants that businessmen only open to earn profits. This is a very chef-driven restaurant. What was most, their desserts were lunch and dinner. Your pastry cook is quite creative. Their waiters are also very well trained. Our waiter knew how each course was cooked and what detailed ingredients were used. His comments on wine recommendations were also on site. If your menu always changes, my wife and I would definitely see again! If you are looking for a cheaper option, go for lunch and their $25 three course was a good deal.
Had a good Christmas party there with my staff. Delicious appetizers and charcuterie board. However, I was underwhelmed by the lamb paste. The pumpkin cake was a good dessert and the service was great!
So, let's start saying that this restaurant is beautiful! The menu well together and very beautiful variety. The food was delicious, oysters were fresh and the neatness was sooo good. The scallops... EPIC!... really good... Sad the octopus, very hard tho and for some reason was not taste. The rest was so beautiful, including the staff, courtesy and very organized. Visit this place again!
My colleagues and I went to this restaurant for a work dinner on a Wednesday night. We were seated near the kitchen, which made it difficult to hear each other over the noise. The service was excellent, but the food was just okay. My main course was served lukewarm, but everyone else seemed to enjoy their meals. I was disappointed by the limited selection of Canadian wines, but the ones we tried were delicious.
