Mira - Toronto

Our group of 4 ordered appetizers, mains, dessert, and drinks at this restaurant. The dishes were unique but on the small side, especially for sharing among a group of 4. I particularly enjoyed the scallop ceviche and the branzino, as they offered a very unique combination of flavors. However, the portion size of the ceviche was quite small. We decided to try this restaurant based on a friend's recommendation, but found it to be a bit expensive. Our full meal for 4 people cost between $400-500. This is not your average dining spot, but I did appreciate the service and atmosphere. Due to the high prices and small portions, I'm not sure if I would return, but I would recommend it more for drinks and appetizers in Downtown Toronto.

Had some variety of dishes and experienced some new exciting flavours. The circular bowl dessert was fun. Break it open for a surprise if different tastes inside.

This restaurant is really charming. Although the service and food were a bit slow, the quality of the food was excellent. We tried the ceviche trio and each one had a unique and delicious flavor, which was a pleasant surprise. The wagyu carpaccio was mediocre because the beef slices were too thin to fully capture the flavors. However, the short rib was quite tasty with tender meat and a delicious sauce. I would definitely return to try other dishes. Also, if you enjoy strong cocktails, this is the place for you. One drink got us feeling buzzed because they are not shy with the alcohol.

I recently visited Mira for the second time and once again ordered the Wagyu tataki, which I absolutely loved. During this visit, we also tried the tostadas, castillo, branzino, and maiz. The tostadas and castillo were standout dishes, with the castillo being particularly impressive with its rich, smoky flavor and hint of acid. The tataki and tostadas were also delicious, but the castillo stole the show. The maiz was good, and the branzino was well-cooked and looked beautiful, although we didn't enjoy the dipping sauces that came with it. Unfortunately, our fish didn't seem very fresh and had a fishy taste to it. Our server was fantastic, and the overall service was excellent. I will definitely be returning to Mira in the future. One of the best tasting food we’ve had in a restaurant for a long time. The chocolate desert was amazing. The down side was that the music was a bit too loud.
