Got together with our good friend Nice cozy place Service was great Fish and chips were great Not too greasy as some places can be

This place has been around for a long time and has undergone new ownership Atmosphere is not as welcoming as it used to be ... seemed more rushed this time Used to get bread and butter with your meal to give you that British experience but no more.The price of fish and chips REALLY increased .....And a little / a lot on the greasy side I had to dabb my fish with my napkin to soak up some of the grease that glistened as it was put in front of me Our server was very nice but again seemed to rush around like the place was packed and only had 4 tables This made us feel like we needed to rush Prob won't go back anytime soon Too bad this used to be one of our fav spots to visit

Ordered '2 and a few' and a soda $28 + tip - ouch - fish was good but not that good - 7 sep 2016 - heat advisory and power outages = no a/c forced me to leave early made for bad meal experience - when will restaurant understand that a/c is important to customers ? if they do not learn during a heat advisory i guess they will never learn

3 of us dropped in for dinner to our local fish n chip restaurant. We have gone there several times over the years. I don't remember posting a review so I thought I would.We all halibut and chips. My wife had a small order. I had one piece of fish.The fish is nicely battered and is a generous portion. It comes with a huge amount of fries (chips).The side order of slaw regular size is also very generous.Halibut, chips and slaw was about $14 or so.You can get haddock for a little less.This restaurant is not licensed but they have a variety of soft drinks including a couple of cool options.Check out their web page for a complete menu.They have great onion rings and some tasty meat pies as well..How could I almost forget to mention that the service was wonderful?

Fries: not fresh cut. Frozen. Unforgivable. Cod: grey, slimy, looked undercooked but was told that's normal of cod. Battered shrimp: not fresh, boxed, tasteless Service: sweet, friendly, attentive Price: average Overall definitely below average. Food just barely passable. An utter disappointment.
