I tried the paneer makhani and garlic naan, and they were both deliciously cooked, soft, and creamy. The best part is that they can customize it to suit your taste preferences. I highly recommend this place if you're craving some homemade comfort food.
Our experience at Maurya East Indian Restaurant was fantastic. We enjoyed a variety of flavorful dishes with our friends. The Chicken Chilli and Chicken 65 appetizers were spicy and crispy, setting the tone for a great meal. For the main course, the Egg Fried Rice and Shrimp Fried Rice were both delicious and complemented the vibrant flavors of the evening. The soups were exceptional, with the Muligatwani (Dal) Soup being rich and hearty, and the Tomato (Shorba) Soup providing a refreshing break. The atmosphere of the restaurant was welcoming and the service was attentive, adding to our overall enjoyment. Maurya's diverse menu and tasty food made our evening memorable, and we look forward to returning to try more of their tempting options.
Had to leave this second review for their newly introduced Indo-Chinese (Hakka menu! This menu should have been there since the beginning! Tried the Chicken Manchuria Soup, Chili Chicken, and the Shrimp Fried Rice. They were all flavorful, spicy, and satisfying, importantly, everything made fresh. The portions were generous (just wish the soup portion was a little bigger or have I enjoyed it a little too much? , and the prices were reasonable. The chef, Omkar, as always, was very humble and friendly, and the staff, Manroop, was courteous and polite. They provided excellent customer service and made me feel welcome. I highly recommend this place to anyone who loves Indian and Chinese cuisine. Hands down the best Hakka I have had in Toronto in the last 4 years!
Food is great, only problem is you need a $15 minimum order for pick up on the app which is ridiculous. If you want a side order of chutney sauce on a single order you are forced to pay $2.50 for two containers when all you need is one.. Please change this..
I want to preface this review by saying that we have been here before with no issues but unfortunately my husband and I became violently ill with what we assume was food poisoning within a few hours of eating our dinner. Hoping this is a rare exception. Please be careful!
