While the menu ranges from traditional offering of cold/hot apps and entrees we opted for a tapas/family type selection for six. Amazing attentions to spice. The staff were more than happy to suggest choices that worked and customize our order. The chef is from a multi generational Vera Cruz family of cooks and her talent is readily apparent. Much better than most restaurants on this strip catering to theatre goers. Muy bien
Booked a Mirvish dinner-theatre package earlier in the year for a special date and made a reservation here after reviewing a number of restaurants! We weren't disappointed! The dinner package is an abbreviated menu -- choice of several appetizers, entrees and desserts. The full menu has more -- and some interesting ones that we may try another night. We tried six different items -- and weren't disappointed in any! There is a vegetarian option too.Service was first class and the decor / ambiance was quite pleasant. Since they knew that we were on the dinner theatre package, they made a point of asking when we needed to leave and adjusted service accordingly. Since they are in the theatre district, I think this is probably standard. There's nothing worse than having to be somewhere and trying to find your waiter or waitress to get your bill.Margarita was, according to my partner, the best margarita that she had ever had in her life. Highly recommend.
With so many restaurant choices in Tornto this place is a must visit! Wonderful tasty food. Andrew our server was very personable and knowledgable about the menu. He suggest items we wouldn't try and we are glad we followed his suggestions :) The food is uniquely flavoured, I can't say I've ever experienced anything like it.
My wife and I attended this restaurant during summerlicious. We went there because it is within walking distance of where we live. Looking at the menu on the internet there were a number of appealing dishes. The restaurant is on the second floor and could be easily overlooked. Often during Summerlicious we feel rushed , but this was not the case. Going out for dinner is a two part experience, the meal and service must blend to make it enjoyable. They nailed it. The food was well presented and delicious, but I think our server Jim made it great. He was attentive, polite and knowledgeable about recommending certain dishes. It was an unexpected great evening.
We were seated shortly after arriving . I love being able to reserve on line with Roundtable. It was dinner before theater. Unfortunately , we got the theaters mixed up and we had to rush. The servers, we had multiple looking after us, were fairly attentive and while the time between appetizers and entree was a little long, once we told them we had a time commitment for the theater, they followed up and we received our entree and the bill right away. We had the guacamole and chips, my wife had the daily vegetarian plate and I had the steak. All were excellent. Ambiance was very nice with latin music playing in the background. Would definitely go back again.
