Le Paradis Brasserie Bistro - Toronto

Very cozy and comfortable place to dine in. I loved the experience. It is very affordable French cuisine and the food portion is great and delicious! The service was very friendly and efficient. I only took off one star because there was a wasp nearby and it kept flying into my food.

This was chosen by a friend for a birthday dinner. Great bistro atmosphere with friendly and attentive staff. A small menu but with enough choices for everyone from meat eaters to vegetarians. Portions were ample, especially on the appetizers. Three course dinner for 4 with cocktails and two bottles of wine was under $400.

Classic French cuisine with interesting touches. I had roasted rib shoulder that was superb, high quality beef with puréed potatoes and a deeply flavoured mushroom ragoût. Appetizers were excellent and their sorbets were delicious Staff was attentive and charming and the restaurant has a congenial neighborhood atmosphere. I will definitely return.

This continues as it had been before COVID. The food is nicely prepared and there are some great surprises (at least the first time). The staff is always welcoming and the decor is conceptually Parisian suburban café, 1960. The prices are reasonable for the quality offered. Since they quite often have ris de veau (sweetbreads) and sea bream on the menu, this reviewer tells you to consider that you should try something you didn't expect to see.

We were here again on Monday Victoria Day after not having ventured to TO during the Covid pandemic. Three of us started with beers and an Aperol Spritz while we caught up with my cousin from England. After about an hour of talking we ordered our meal. We were never rushed and our dinner lasted for over three hours. We dined on beets salad, blue cheese salad and salmon appetizers. Our mains were liver, pork tenderloin and rainbow trout and dessert of lemon tart. All washed down with copious amounts of red and white wine. Everything was delicious. Service was excellent. They even arranged a taxi where one member could sit in the front seat. Another fabulous meal at a very reasonable price and good selection. Thank you Guy and the team. We will definitely return.
