Przekaż informację zwrotnąI brought my friends to this restaurant for lunch because it is conveniently located next to my apartment. I especially enjoyed the juicy and crispy street corn, which was my favorite dish. The mango avocado salad was decent, but it seems to be a popular choice among other customers. The tacos were small, which allowed me to try multiple flavors. My favorite was the beef cheek taco, while the most inventive was the yellowfin tuna taco. Overall, I had a great experience trying a variety of dishes at this restaurant.
I had lunch here with a friend last week. We shared an order of Mexican street corn $9) which we both enjoyed. These were cobs of corn topped with 'crema, queso anejo, arbol anchol chili powder. ' A very tasty treat. We both ordered the Beef Cheek taco $5.50) which is described as 'ancho braised beef, lime avocado, green cabbage, pickled jalapeno crispy shallots, queso anejo, and charred pepper sauce. ' I found the toppings of this taco to be superior to the meat. I have had the beef cheek at another location and really enjoyed it. This time around, I found the meat a tad dry. I also ordered the West Coast Rockfish Taco $6.50) which was on special. This taco is described as 'wild BC snapper, corn batter, lettuce, tamarind balsamic sauce, chipotle mayo and tomatillo salsa. ' This taco was a home run. I love fish tacos and this one was no exception. The toppings came together in a symphony of flavour. A great way to finish the meal! I love La Carnita and will definitely come back. Oh and they serve Kona beer very very few places do).
My favourite tacos in the city. The menu items are all fantastic, prices are reasonable and the atmosphere is always super fun. Definitely not the place for a quiet or intimate dinner and there's usually a wait when I go (not that that deters me).
I enjoyed every plate that we ordered at la carnita, will definitely visit again. It has a unique menu and atmosphere.Tacos are a bit pricey for the portion.
There are a couple of locations of La Carnita in Toronto. We went to the John Street location near St. Andrew Station in the Entertainment District.<br/ <br/ They have a very reasonably priced prix fixe lunch menu where you can receive a starter, two tacos, and a dessert for $16.99! (It’s available before 4 p.m. each day.
