We will be back to our special Dim Sum Club.
All of the food was delicious. Highly recommend the dumplings and the spring rolls. The sizzling beef with black bean sauce is one of the tastiest that I've had.The service was great, don't forget to ask the server about his advice regarding the stock market.
My faves from this restaurant are Lobster in Ginger and Green Onions, Cantonese Chow Mein, and Singapore Noodles. If you are eating in have deep Spicy Salty Squid. Great lunch specials I liked Spicy Tofu on Rice for $9. Dim Sum is cooked to order.
We have now had lunch twice at Kowloon on Baldwin St. The Western Cantonese is decent and tasty. Some dishes are bit oily but the good part is that they don't seem to use MSG. Something we both react badly too. The service is good, the quality good not great and the prices reasonable. Lunch normally runs us for two between $ 25-30 depending whether we order beer or not. Overall worth the money.
We just ordered Kowloon's food online tonight from orderit.ca, which had very good reviews for this restaurant. First, the delivery guy had absolutely no change, bizarre. Then, when we finally tucked in after running down to the front desk at the Hilton to get change, the food was awful. My husband had two bites and said it was so disgusting that he felt turned off of eating dinner altogether. I tried for a bit but couldn't do it either. I hate wasting food but we honestly couldn't swallow it. We ended up throwing it all out and I ordered from a place I knew I liked.
