Ka Chi Korean Restaurant - Toronto

Tried this place the other night and the food was not bad. It was good Korean but I believe there are better places. The environment was nice and casual good for a casual date or to catch up with a friend. The service however was pretty non existent, but I still had a good time. Would maybe go back but would try many other Korean places first.

I've had dinner here a few times now and each time the food has been fantastic. The servers sometimes seem stressed when it's busy but they've always been on the ball. The price is pretty good for a mid-range budget, but some of the best dishes are pretty cheap by any standards and great value. It's also a good location if you're in the Bloor West area (which has tons of other restaurants of course), very close to Bathurst station.I've had mostly kim chi dishes and they were great, but the potato pancakes are also a good appetizer or side-dish to share. (Though I recommend eating in rather than take out, as the pancakes get cold quickly if you have a while to walk.)

We just happened by this restaurant on the way home, were hungry and decided to give it a try. The food was all very good and the sides were abundant. We asked for refills for several and that was not a problem. It was a nice night so we ate outside. Great value. We would come back.

We are Korean food newbies, but decided to try Ka Chi last Friday after not getting into our first choice. The place was busy - good sign. The waiters were all very helpful. They explained the "proper" way to eat the various dishes and what all of the condiments were. The restaurant is happy to chance the spiciness of their dishes to your preference. We both ordered dishes served in hot stone bowls or plates and would highly recommend these. Our dishes stayed hot right to the last bite. Serving sizes were plentiful and the prices were great. Because of our experience here, we're looking forward to trying more Korean food now that we're back in our home city .

Great Korean food! Reasonable and we left satisfied. Highly recommend! Side dishes plentiful. Good chapchae and bulgogi, nicely seasoned.
