Jacobs Co. Steakhouse - Toronto

For the price you are paying, the ambiance, service, and food quality are not good. The biggest disappointment was the food. The steak was excellent, but other than that, all the appetizers (particularly an $88 wagyu carpaccio) were bland and not appetizing. The side dishes were standard, but nothing special. The ambiance was loud. The service was slow to get new drinks or to even catch them for a question. The washrooms were dirty. We went here for my father in law's birthday and he was in town from Germany. We want to take him somewhere that was special. We will definitely not be coming back. Paying upwards of $2,000 for something that is essentially The Keg is not something we would want to do again.

I love their bread! The staff is amazing. The food is great! The selection of steak is great. I would not do their mix of steak tasting if I was you. I would go for an American steak. (That’s my personal preference )The wine was great! Dessert were great! Is it the best steakhouse in town ? Probably top 2

We had an AMAZING experience overall. The fort was absolutely delicious and prepared to perfection! I would like to point out our server “Jamie” specifically for her professionalism and expertise surrounding menu items and wine pairing. Wonderful service and food quality. One of the best steaks I ever had. Salad was fresh and delicious. Bread was freshly baked and tasty.
