Il Fornello Bayview Village - Toronto

The food at this restaurant was decent, but the service from the waitress was terrible. Upon entering the restaurant at noon on September 11th, the waitress rudely ordered me to "follow me" and disregarded my seating preferences. I was placed at a table near the door where the spotlight was blinding. When I asked to change seats, the waitress seemed annoyed and moved me without saying a word. I was taken aback by her attitude. Even when I was leaving and saw her again, she ignored me. I would not recommend this restaurant.

I have been frequenting this establishment with my friends since the Mario days. The new owner seems grumpy, and most of the staff, with the exception of Anthony and Evgeny, are only interested in tips. The worst waitress we encountered was the one with glasses. When my friends and I entered, she was behind the bar, drinking and alternating between her drink and attending to customers. I have included a picture of her as she did not provide her name. Upon our arrival, she directed the other waiter to serve us, particularly singling out my Sikh friend. It is disappointing to see this once fantastic gem of Bayview Village decline so rapidly. The other servers rarely check on customers but are quick to present the bill to collect their tip. The owner also appears consistently displeased. Even after spending $1000.00, he does not bother to greet customers. The restaurant has a negative atmosphere and the food is often old, cold, or spoiled. It is truly heartbreaking to witness the downfall of what used to be one of the best dining spots in the GTA.

The food at this restaurant is fantastic, with a wide variety of delicious plant-based options. The risotto in particular is amazing. However, it is important to note that this is a corporate location, so the menu may be more limited compared to the Ajax location. Additionally, the kids menu is different at each location.

Very nice place to go for fine dining meal and Italian cuisine. Food are delicious (nice risotto and pasta, deserts are also pretty) and services are nice.One recommended improvement is that might be better if each table could have a brighter lamp, or hanging light, or even a candle to make the atmosphere better in the evening, since it was a little too dark in the evening when sitting on some tables beside the wall.Will definitely come again in the future.

I had an absolutely fantastic dining experience at this Italian restaurant! The ambiance was charming, the staff were attentive and friendly, and the food was simply exquisite. Every dish was bursting with authentic flavours, and the pasta was a true highlight. I can't wait to return and indulge in another delightful meal. A definite 5/5 stars!
