However, there was a bit of a wait for our food after ordering, about 35 minutes. The Chicken Pecan Salad had a good portion of chicken and plenty of pecans, but was bulked up with a lot of lettuce. The Pub Salad was very good. The burger was basic and came with minimal fries, approximately 20. The server suggested ordering an additional side of fries. The burger itself was tasty, juicy, cooked to medium, well-seasoned, and overall a good choice. For the price of $20, I expected a bit more. We sat on the patio, which was very nice. Overall, we enjoyed our experience and will likely return. The total bill for the two of us, including two drinks each, was $100.
Called in tonight as the pub is near our Airbnb. Great menu and reasonable prices . My Guinness stew was great and a good serving of vegetables. Husband had cottage pie also with veg. We will be back
Food was pretty good. The service was absolutely dreadful. The water was warm. My grandmothers wine glass had a chip in it, and she almost cut her lip. We complained to the manager. He did absolutely nothing was clueless. The waiters came by us twice not even. At the beginning, we waited about 30 minutes before someone came and took our order. The inside of the place was not clean or welcoming. The outside may look nice, but trust me do not go here. I’m very disappointed.
Thursday 12:30 4 of us went for lunch. 3 of us got quite decent plates, and one of us got 2 meager plates. First came the Buffalo Cauliflower as an appetizer. It was a very small serving and they mostly forgot the Buffalo part (so just deep fried battered cauliflower, and not much of it). We let that pass. One of the main orders was the appetizer Buffalo Chicken. The plate was again quite meager (I have ordered this plate at least 30 times at this exact restaurant, so was very surprised). Again they forgot the Buffalo part (although some of the pieces had some on them). For 15.99 is should have been a little more substantial (and has been every time in the past) Sent back the Buffalo Chicken and was afraid to order anything else, so didn 't eat. The waitress was young and new, so not her fault and she got a 15% tip (would have been 20% but the bill took a loooong time to show up I don 't think she knew what to do). No manager came to see what happened. We didn 't ask for a manager, but having owned restaurants myself I know that is what should have happened. It 's very hard these days to get staff, and especially cooks. I get that. A manager should have come by though. Maybe they can 't find a manager either.
We stopped here for dinner with family and sat outside on their fairly extensive patio. It was a nice evening, service was good, beer was cold. There was good variety on the menu....I would not recommend their fish and chips (disappointing) , but others enjoyed their burgers, jambalaya and irish nachos.
