The filling inside the area was excellent, the perfect taste and combination. Size was huge. And they have one of the best rums in this world, Diplomatico. As for a Venezuela Libre (A mock of the cuba libre), and them we will talk. The service, was excellent and on our way out, my kids ask for a Juice, made in front of them, which was the top of the meal.
Fantastic restaurant. .relaxing ambience ..delightful bites...must visit and eat place .located in the heart of the famous old fashioned Kensington Market district.
My husband and I meet friends here to lunch and it was very good. I didn't rate it excellent because our food took a little long but I believe this must have been because there were only two people in the kitchen which also made sure that you were been taken care of beside ordering. So my suggestion would be to have one more staff member. The food was delicious. The arepas were huge! And above all, it felt like a little rinconcito of Venezuela with the music.
I used to love the arepas at El Arepazo's old location, when they basically had a counter with a stove in the little Latin market in Kensington Market. Came back with this some friends who'd never tried arepas, found they'd movedto the new location, so dragged them to the new spot, expecting the same food: thick, delicious arepas with a generous stuffing of whatever filling you choose.Let's just say, no more. The fillings are now ... Canadianized? Bland, I mean. Worse, the arepa itseld is now the thickness of a taco wrapper, which means it simply cannot hold up the fillings inside. So you end up with a soggy mess every single time, They are sill generous with the fillings but that only adds to the disaster!El Arepazo, go back to your traditional recipes, please! There are plenty of us who would pay for the real deal!
Definitely cannot go wrong with the chorizo arepa - so flavourful, plus cheese and avocado, sandwiched in a crisp freshly made arepa. The cassava fries were delish, freshly cooked, served with the garlic dip.
