Located just south of Sheppard on yonge, this is a good place for lunch. Place is tiny, so service is quick, food is tasty and if you get a lunch special, excellent value for money. Take out and pick appear as options as well.
I was looking for a place to eat not to far from North York Center & found this gem on Google maps & decided to give it a try. We were greeted within 1 minute of entering the restaurant and seated. Good looking menu order Chicken Satay, Hot & Sour Soup, Panang Chicken Curry & Pad Kee Mao, to share. The food can very fast and piping hot. Wow the chicken stayed were great with lots of peanut sauce and vegetable salad. The Hot & Sour was excellent. I had never had Pad Kee Mao but it was tasty & flavorful so was the Paneeng curry. We each had a tea, I had ginger tea & my husband had Jasmine Tea. We both enjoyed the meal & had enough to eat. I watched the servers who were polite, busy and very prompt. It is a small restaurant but amazing Thai food. I have been to many other Thai restaurants but none as good to bad it is not closer to use but would return if in the area. Yes parking is limited but you can park and walk or as we did TTC. It was a 10 minute walk to the North York Center. Looks like they do a lot of take out but nice to see a local family business.
I came here with my co-workers for a team dinner and ordered their pineapple fried rice with chicken added as an extra. The flavor in the food was unbelievable and the portion size was fantastic! Once you try their pineapple fried rice once, you won't be able to help but going back for more. The restaurant is fairly small and always busy so if you are going with a big group or you don't want to stand around waiting, definitely make a reservation beforehand. Food takes a bit to get to you but it's definitely worth waiting for. For anyone who has never been here and is looking to try it out, keep in mind that the bill already includes the tip (this is fairly typical when going to Asian restaurants in this area) so make sure you aren't tipping them unless you are intentionally wanting to give them an extra tip!
My group with co-workers often visit this place for lunch. We like the food but today everything seems to be going smooth until we all paid and left. We learned later on that the tip was already included in the bill and the thing is that they never tell you that the 15% tip is already included in the bill and most of us added a tip. Lesson learned - always check the bill and ask (because they purposely never tell you).
