I ordered the Soya Chicken with Rice, which consisted of soy sauce-marinated chicken, bok choy, rice, and diced salted green onions and ginger on top. The plate was massive, and the meal was incredibly satisfying and well worth the price. The service was also speedy, making it an ideal choice for when you're feeling hungry. Highly recommended!
Situated in the college park food court, Duck serves up the most authentic Cantonese BBQ pork at a reasonable price. My go-to dish is the soy sauce chicken noodles, which are topped with diced ginger, spring onions, and sesame oil. The beef noodles are also delicious, with tender beef braised with bay leaves, anise, chillies, and dates for hours. They offer an interesting selection of Asian teas near the check-out counter, and I usually opt for the sugarless jasmine tea when available.
The duck is terrific, especially with a dab of the (untraditional) Sriracha sauce. I wish they offered a greater choice of vegetables with it, though. Limp greens, sometimes mustard greens. The rice is rice -- plain, properly cooked, good for sopping up juice from the duck.
The owner with his bald face, wide smile and great sense of humor makes this a standout in the College Park food court. This is not easy given the other Thai and Chinese restaurants in the court. They used a simple name which describes their best and most ordered meal. You choose the meat: chicken, duck, BBQ pork, or vegetarian options then pair with noodle soup or rice and some vegetables. Huge amounts of food for the price means you usually need a doggy bag after you are done
We have become regular in taking out half a duck and about $7-8 worth of either roast pork or cha siu meat for dinner. For a food court eatery, the roast was sensational. We have not tried their noodles or stir fry and have not had a sit-down meal though.I did get caught short on cash a few times when I forgot this place is 'cash only;' ATM is at the subway entrance.
