Cote de Boeuf - Toronto

The place is cosy, the service very nice and the meat beyond expectations. highly recommended. much better then any fancy steak house you would go to and much cheaper bonne continuation !!

We discovered this place by chance. We went to Union restaurant on Ossington (another great place) but the kitchen didn't open for another 40 minutes (6:00pm). They suggested Côte de Boeuf. It's a butcher shop that has limited seating and a small menu. We ordered the meat and cheese platter and red wine. I cannot begin to tell you how impressed we were. Every morsel so good! Then we ordered a pork chop and braised back ribs. Both were outstanding! The ribs melted in your mouth and had this unique smoked flavour. I cannot stop thinking about this meal. To top it off we had chocolate mouse for two. Delicious! And the server was great! The staff was truly very nice and knowledgable. They seemed to have a passion for good food as well. This place is not to be missed for foodies!

We walked past cote de boeuf and decided to come back for dinner. Being from Europe we know France well. This was amazing. We had the asparagus to start and the cote de boeuf (for 4 but perfect for 2) which had mushrooms and asparagus and potatoes. Absolutely delicious. The food was amazing. We recommend to everyone!

If you are a meat lover then this restaurant is a good find. We stumbled across it after not being able to get in at another restaurant on this street. This place is butchers primarily but in the evening turns into a restaurant / wine bar. It's simple but the food and the wine was good. Staff were helpful and pleasant

What an amazing find... a wine bar, butcher, cafe and quaint grocer in one! Food was delicious, really nice service ... wow! Well done!
