Cocina Economica - Toronto

I loved Cocina economica, it is the most authentic mexican restaurant I have been too, the plates are perfectly sized, you can order a bunch of stuff and share family style, the margaritas are great. It is a bit snug in there , but, that's what makes it cozy. Great service, great food. I will go back.

We were delighted to stumble across this amazing lil Mexican oasis. We followed the recommendations of our wonderful waiter Dave - gaucomole to start; which was delicious but once we saw the fabulous looking cerviche at other tables we wished we had started there. On with el pastor and the delicious fish dish. So much good food at our table coupled with a crisp, cold bottle of Prosecco this restaurant delivered a wonderful evening.

This cute little spot is tucked away just south of Queen. The decor is lovely, and we really enjoyed everything we ordered. The large plates really are large - we shared two starters, guac and ceviche (the ceviche is amazing), and the lamb barbacoa tacos, between two people - which was a LOT of food! The service was excellent - friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. Be aware that it is very small inside and the tables are quite close together, so it gets pretty noisy. I also found it pretty warm (there is a patio, but unfortunately it was already spoken for). It was packed on a Tuesday night, so definitely make a reservation!

Came here with a food tour. Wow!! Food was excellent and service was over the top. They looked after us as though we were guests in their home.......we had the best guacamole and chips to start followed by a great selection of tacos. The lamb and pork belly tacos were awesome. And the cerviche was absolutely fantastic. What really makes it for this place is the authentic decor And their top notch service. I now know where to come for awesome Mexican food next time I am in town

Love the food, very tasty and in a familiar atmosphere. The service was great. Go for the gucamole, carnitas or tacos al Pastor will not be disappointed
