Bistro Camino - Toronto

I have to second what everyone else has said. The food here is delicious and very reasonably priced considering the very high quality of ingredients, presentation and taste. We have lived in the neighbourhood for years and had never been before tonight. I had the lobster bisque and Shrimps americano with an almond cream sauce - delicious. My husband had the escargot in garlic and butter topped with mozzarella and then the ox tongue. He loved both. My 11-year old was happy to share the salmon gravalax with me and really enjoyed his butternut squash soup and then cordon blue chicken. We were too full for dessert but my husband couldnt resist the banana spring rolls with strawberries and chocolate sauce. We had wine/beer with the meal and the bill came to $118 including taxes. We left a good tip because the service was so good. The decor is dated, yes but let that not detract you from an excellent meal in 'hood.

Just enjoyed a delicious meal with my family. They split up a dinner for two young boys. Excellent food and service. A good local treat. Will be back.

First thing you notice is how warm and cosy the dining room is compared to the blowing snow and cold wind outside. Then, once seated, you feel the genuineness of the welcome and hospitality of the owners. And it just gets better. The lamb and ox tongue were done to perfection - tender and flavourful. The pecan tart was mouth watering good. The service was attentive and flexible (when an unexpected and unwanted creamy lentil soup was brought to the table, it was immediately and willingly replaced with a tomato based clam chowder.) We sat, ate and chatted for over 3 hours, and throughout, we didn't feel rushed or pressured to relinquish our table, but rather, our water glasses were constantly replenished as was the hot water in the teapots. Finally, the dining room and washrooms are immaculate. The prices are reasonable; the portions generous. We will be back.

Ingredients are fresh.Portion sizes were generous and entrees were accompanied by a variety of sides (mashed potato, chick peas, polenta, sundried tomato, curry cabbage and broccoli).Food was tasty and the prices were very reasonable.Service was very good.

A group of us went out to Bistro Camino for dinner last night. Everyone loved the food, wine and the amazing service.I will be going back very soon - my husband will love the lamb. I had the Curry Shrimp which was accompanied by a lovely Onion Garlic Soup and lots of vegetables. The portions are generous and I highly recommend this restaurant.
