I have been going there for many years for my favourite: Lemongrass Tofu Sandwich, X-tra Spicy, No Butter! Delicious! There are times when I will travel across the city just to get it. I haven 't stayed for lunch yet, but I think that next time, I will actually try some of the other items on the menu and eat at the place. Last time I went there, the place was very busy and folks seemed happy with their orders. If you are in the area, try it! You won 't be disappointed.
Long poor boy bread with your choice of meat, veggies, pepper, pate. We ordered 8-10 at a time for eating in the car. Easy to take with you. Owner lady was working the sandwich making herself on Sunday afternoon. Speak Engish, Vietnamese, Cantonese, Mandarin. Free tea while you are waiting for your order.
I had the banh mi shredded chicken roll. It was amazing! A perfect cheap, delicious lunch. The decor of the restaurant is old, rundown and nothing exciting. I had my roll to go. Very happy
I find the Vietnamese sandwiches here among the very best in Toronto: crunchy bread, flavourful fillings and sauces. For a sit-down lunch, the choices are limited: mainly noodles and sandwiches. But foods are very good. Services are fast in a simple setting.
This place is awesome. No frills, basic, authentic Banh Mi. I've tried the pho, Banh Xeo, and Spring Rolls and there all great as well. I found this hidden gem from a friend and have been going all the time. The pho is much better than other china town spots. The service may seem poor to some, but its the blunt mannerisms of the staff and the lack of english.
