Aroma Espresso - Toronto

This cozy cafe in the heart of midtown is fantastic! I absolutely love their food and sandwiches. My only complaint is that they close too early; it would be wonderful if they stayed open for a few more hours.

I appreciate that the chocolate here is made with milk and chocolate bar instead of water like at other places. They also offer a nice selection of food items. Their pastries are delicious.

I ordered an Ice Aroma and an almond croissant. I waited for over 15 minutes for my drink because they didn't send my order to the kitchen. The lady who gave me my drink had a really bad attitude, giving me "the look" and smashing the chocolate on the counter. Despite having to wait so long, I didn't even say anything. It's ridiculous that I had to receive such negative attitude from her.

Great portions. I ordered the Aroma Salad which comes with Feta cheese, lettuce, cucumber, tomato, radish, red onion, za’atar and sumac spice. I added the maple balsamic dressing and it was delicious! They have limited seating during lunch so get there early to snag a seat. The menu contains various items including bagels, sandwiches, bowls, and more. A great spot for lunch.

I'm an early riser and was looking to have a different coffee before 8am Why not Aroma? The customer service was poor. The workers were inattentive of me for at least 5 minutes while people were waiting to be served. It was one of the few times I didn't leave a tip, or strongly wanting to tell them to be attentive. It made it worse when the worker didn't hand the drinks to the customer directly opting to put the drinks on the counter away from them. Poor customer service.
