Acqua Dolce Resto Venue - Toronto

The atmosphere was amazing, well decorated and great view of the lake. The service was slow and they confused our orders.This is not the place to come to for that pasta or pizza cheat meal. The Pasta was hard, and not flavorful. The pizza crust was very soft.

Initially we liked the location, the eclectic atmosphere and our waitress was friendly and attentive. Then there was a mix up in our order and 3 of us were finished our meals by the time the final entree arrived. The waitress blamed the kitchen, the owner blamed the waitress , the bar manager awkwardly apologized, the bus girl added another "sorry about the mix up" ... So 4 employees blaming and justifying but not one offering any restitution ... Not a free dessert, not a free drink , no comp on the late meal. In fact they proceeded to bill us for an extra $75 in food and drinks we didnt order or recieve. We all know mistakes happen but when they do its how you make it right that matters. Acqua Dolce you failed.

First I would like to mention that I come to this restaurant once a year for the last 10 years. It was called Gossips. We come to sit on the patio and enjoy the view. I have never been a big fan of the food but was willing to let it go because the owner, Amelia, has always been very friendly and remembers us and the view is great.Last year I the fresh in-house made burger, which tasted frozen. When I mentioned this I was told it was made fresh, in-house, then frozen. Silly me!This year we sat on the patio, were given 3 bottles of wine and menus and then ignored. never had any food. 2 hours later someone ask how we were doing. When I said we had not seen any wait staff since being given the menus the lady (manager?) said Oh you should mention that to the waiter (whom we had never seen at all) when he brings you the bill!We went to the bathroom. Was checked up on to make sure we were not doing a runner. I paid the owner at the bar and did not even receive an apology. While I did not taste the food this year, the couple at the other table outside said it was not very good. They had caesar salad and pizza. I will never ever return. But maybe that is what they wanted because we didn't stack up to their class of clientele. I sometimes wonder how low some people standards are when they rave about food of this caliber.

Terrible restaurant! I have been coming here every year for the past 10 years and every time it is the same . The service is My sister and I bought two lovely ladies from Sudbury here last night and though the view of the lake and Ontario Place is wonderful I don't think I will ever come back again . I do not know how the owner manager Amelia has managed to keep this place afloat . We bought to the ladies to have a few drinks on the patio ,we were completely forgotten about . We were served a few bottles of wine between the four of us and we asked for menus that was the last we saw of the staff until it was time to pay . Not one person came back to ask us if we would like to order from the menu which is so wrong as we really needed to eat after having a couple of glasses of wine each . I think she apparently thinks that we are not good enough to be served food and we weren't the only people who were treated shabbily . Another couple will also sat on the patio and they were forgotten about too. I think if you look like you don't have money they just shove you out on the patio and completely forget about you . I don't let Amelia fool you into telling you that her hamburgers or fresh every day . They make their own hamburgers that's true but they also freeze though that does not make your burger fresh. So to all you people that have had such a wonderful time I'd like to know how and I'd love for the city of Toronto to investigate because of not getting any food that is against the law. Also three decoration who the heck redecorates with Mac TAC . And to boot I couldn't get out of the bathroom because of the new fangled door locks and they also have the nerve to come into the bathroom to find us because they thought we did a runner.

Awesome food- great looking place in a secret location with a big angel in eye view! the staff was really sweet!
