Hazel's Diner - Toronto Canada

Great food at great prices. The new location at Mt Pleasant Rd has fast become a favourite local breakfast gaff. The $4.99 special is ridiculously good value. The food is always cooked to perfection I love getting my home fries, eggs, bacon, toast and cup o' joe. I brought my brother along who lives in Sydney, and he couldn't get enough of the place. Coming from a country where breakfast will set you back $20 a plate minimum, they wanted to take Hazel's Diner home with them.

HAPPY CANADA DAY!<br/ <br/ We weren't sure what was open on Canada Day, but we decided to see if Hazel's Diner was open for lunch, since it was on the way to where we were going anyway. We had been to the Yonge St location a few years ago, and this one was similar, but different. This location seems a bit more spacious and brighter. <br/ <br/ SWBMO chose the Loaded Waffle and a side of Bacon. Lots and lots of berries, bananas and whipped cream, and the bacon was nice and crispy. <br/ <br/ I opted for the Mexican Benny. Poached eggs with chipotle hollandaise, sitting atop chorizo sausage, corn bread, and baked beans, with home fried potatoes. A tasty twist on a traditional classic.

Bottom line? Fantastic. Service extremely fast and very friendly, food was served quickly and was absolutely delicious. Good portions, great prices. Best pancakes I've had! I will be frequenting this hidden gem regularly.

Absolutely the best dinner I've ever had! They serve the finest breakfast in the city, and it feels just like a comforting meal prepared by mom. I can’t wait to return again and again. It is a bit on the pricey side, and the service can be slow at times, but it's definitely worth it. Don’t forget to try the fresh orange juice as well. Those pancakes are delicious! I'll be going back tomorrow morning!
