There was even plenty to pick from fit one in the party that did not eat meat (salad, popcorn shrimp, tuna, mushrooms). The only reason we could not finish the...short ribs is because we were so full.
Amazing fusion food. Loved the service. Loved that certain dishes could be ordered in half portions so we could try more. Loved ceviche, burger. Would have liked the duck a bit more cooked to medium rare than rare. Dessert with cinnamon bun was crazy good
Must eat when in Toronto! What a gem of a restaurant, and very reasonably priced. We will definitely be back!
Despite current requirements of outdoor only Toronto COVID-19 restricted restaurant dining , Rasa served up an extraordinary culinary experience worthy of many a return engagement. It was both rainy and cold seated under an awning with heaters abound, but the meal outstripped and surpassed the...ambiance to the point of it being overlooked. All of the sampled dishes were outstanding, but decidedly worthy of special mention were the Spicy Ceviche, Truffle Nudi and Seared Halibut only to be superseded by the most exceptional Spiced Duck Confit. The accompanying specialty cocktail menu only serves to accentuate the fare. As a first time visitor to this establishment, I simply cannot wait for another opportunity to dine at Rasa when next in Toronto hopefully under less stringent guidelines able to enjoy interior restaurant seating.
I'm notorious for complaining about the lack of good food options in Toronto compared to other cities I've visited, and am a bit of a food snob. A steak doesn't impress me, I want something innovative and unique. Something I can't just cook for myself...at home. Rasa DELIVERED. We did the tasting menu, and every single course (of 8-9 was delicious! At 69$/pp it was also really well priced in my opinion. The standout dish for me was the Brisket, while my partner absolutely loved the Ceviche. I found myself audibly saying MMMMMMMMMM multiple times throughout the meal. (And I am NOT easy to impress! I think I might have to say Rasa has the best food I've had at a restaurant in Toronto. The service was also wonderful. The right mix of attentive but not hovering. When something small went wrong (like a patio heater running out of fuel I didn't even have to ask a server, they noticed right away and quickly fixed it. But I never felt like they were awkwardly hovering. They explained all the dishes, made drink recommendations and were very responsible about COVID precautions. Overall, A+
