Osteria Povr'om - Torino

Let’s be clear, the food is ok and it is not the main attraction. The moment you get in this place is like making a jump head first in a Fellini movie. Enjoy the atmosphere. A tad passé, that includes absolutely everything and everyone, including the menus you will get once you sit down. It is not Mom and Pa place, it is Grandma and Grandpa place and it is sweet. Grandma may bring you the food with her grandson in the other arm.... Definitely a family place, but some patrons may be there for a romantic dinner, Fellini style.

The spaghetti all'astice was one of the best meals I had in Italy. The marinara sauce that accompanied the lobster was some of the most flavorful that I've ever had the pleasure to try. I will be going back as soon as I return to Torino!

A real local osteria. Food was fantastic. Seems like a family run place-the waiter was a cute old man. Would eat again!
