El Guajiro - Torino

We'd just got to Turin and hadn't eaten all day. Since we were both dying for Mexican food, and wanted to check out the El Guajiro, we decided to buy one of their online Groupons and hit it the very same evening. SO disappointed! Our dinner was accepted at 7pm, so, we got there by 7ish to be welcomed by a waitress who told us that the restaurant would have opened only at 7.30pm! Thankfully, while she was mooping the floor, she had mercy on us in an extremely cold evening and she invited us to wait inside the restaurant for...40 minutes. She personally took our order at 7.40pm. Beyond that, she informed us that the entire El Guajiro's kitchen had only...1 avocado left! Therefore, although Groupon specified the opposite, no guacamole sauce would have been served that evening. Cherry on top, and always as on the contrary stated by the restaurant on Groupon, also my adored Chilli con Carne would have yes been served BUT with a waiting time of ... more than 40 minutes! What we truly consider appalling is the attitude of the owners (who walked into the restaurant at around 8pm) who have continually sent two of their unfortunate but kind waitresses to inform us of their incompetency. The owners have never apologised to us in person, although they were present throughout our dinner. So, a very negative experience NOT to be repeated.
