The menu offered a variety of options, and we chose the homemade beef burgers, which were delicious and satisfying. For those who like to customize their burgers, there are various extras and cheeses available to add. I only wish I had more room after the filling burgers to try one of the tempting desserts on offer. The cocktail selection was impressive, with drinks made with tasty botanicals. One of the highlights for me was seeing the signed, framed John Cleese "The Germans" sketch from Fawlty Towers displayed on the pub's wall.
The restaurant offers delicious food, live music, and attentive and friendly staff. What more could you ask for on a night out? Additionally, it was steak night, so we got a great deal with buy one get one half price. It was the perfect way to end a wonderful day.
Took my girlfriend for her 25th birthday. The service was quality, food was delicious and we didn’t have to wait long to be served or have the food delivered to our table. Would recommend, especially on their 2-4-1 burger Wednesdays!
A little bit pricey it has to be said especially when the clock tower pub down town can do the same tap lager for £2.50 cheaper but it has a lovely beer garden, entertainment and realy respectable staff. It's clean and tidy with a good food selection, this is the type of place you would take a works party or treat your partner to a meal with a selection of seating if you don't like been put on display or want a little privacy. Respect to the bald young chapp aswell (Harry) I think. Makes you feel very welcome, always cleaning tables when not busy at the bar. Worth every penny to that pub so I hope management if this is seen takes this into consideration. Catered for me and the Mrs with exceptional professionalism while still having character and personality. Will be here again for sure felt VERY welcome indeed
My wife and I recently visited the Kent 's with our supper club for a meal. We are both long-standing vegetarians and with the limited choice available selected the roasted cauliflower with curried gnocchi, spinach and sauce. We were looking forward to it, but were very disappointed. The cauliflower seemed quite airy, with not much to it. Also there were just four small gnocchi 'chips ' spaced around this, with a tiny bit of spinach. This was hardly a meal. It was just as well we had ordered a side dish of vegetables. The were the only satisfying part of the meal. The dish was attractively presented, but there was little substance to it, only a bit of cauliflower and chips swimming in coconut sauce. It needed something like lentils, beans or tofu to give it that substance, and some protein. We were relieved our ice cream desert was enjoyable. Apart from the food, we found the Kent 's was very welcoming with friendly and helpful staff. However, we are unlikely to return unless the vegetarian options are much improved.
