The Back Room At The Meadfoot Inn

Gorgeous, local, gay pub, incredibly friendly, decent drinks, what more can I say, a real gem.

Friendly bar with nice staff and a warm atmosphere. Short walk up from the harbour (or down if you're heading into town). Clean, reasonable drinks and comfortable seating.

Went here on Sunday of the bank holiday weekend after hearing about it, had a taxi there only to find it empty apart from about three locals sat by the bar. The only time we were spoken to was when we ordered a drink, of which we had two as the price was very expensive. It was not unlike sitting in an old drag queens dressing room, full of tat and a musty damp smell which crept upon you every few minutes. The Greeks have the right idea what to do with old plates by the way!!!! If this is supposed to be a gay bar then god help the gay people of Torquay as I would never return. ALUN/JOHN.

Great place wish they opened earlier on the weekend.
