1897 Palk Cafe - Torbay

The service at this restaurant is excellent, with friendly staff who were able to accommodate us even though we didn't have a reservation and it was quite busy. The burger and pizza we ordered were delicious, and the atmosphere inside the restaurant was beautiful. We were pleasantly surprised by the affordable bill at the end of our meal. Sitting outside, we enjoyed the stunning views of the harbor.

During our four-day stay in Torquay, we stumbled upon this hidden gem of a restaurant. We were highly impressed by their COVID-19 safety measures, and the staff was attentive and efficient. The food was delicious, especially the local dishes featuring mushrooms and seafood, and the Rump Steak was cooked to perfection. We highly recommend dining at this restaurant and look forward to returning during our next visit to Torquay.

Great location in the harbour with seating inside and out. The staff are attentive and helpful. I really enjoyed the mussels, they were plump and sweet, some of the best I have ever had. The toasties are nice too.
