Przekaż informację zwrotnąWith my wife, my son and his wife and two grandchildren and her dog. We all came from Brisbane after Easter. We had all great meals, and the staff was friendly and helpful. My wife liked so much, wants to come back for her birthday. Fantastic view. Very recommended.
It was a great experience to order a vegan burger and fries at this iconic historic pub. The ambiance was relaxing, the ordering process was simple, and the service was fast. Plus, we got to enjoy a beautiful view of the valley from this mountain-top location.
Eating was sensational we had eye fillet, pork ribs and a few children's meals were all sensational, will be back soon
The place is loud, it sounds like a loud bar, the room acoustics seems to amplify it. It is reachable, but we were removed in the corner with just looking at the view, not many tables seem to get any look. We had... a common dish of smoked meat $70 for lunch drinks) it came without other plates, so you ate from the central dish, and it was hard to make no mess. The pulled pork was nice, the cattle breeze was a bit dry, the pig bell was nice and crispy, but the chicken had what we both thought was an unpleasant taste. The roast potatoes were delicious. There was a lot of it and we left a lot on the plate, just over the whole chicken). All in all, it's not a particularly favorable option for what I thought was a pretty average lunch.
Visited with party of 5 for birthday celebration. 3 had steaks, one the meatlovers pizza and I was unfortunate enough to have the Grazier's Pie. Reasonable ambience, nice view of the defunct gravel quarry. Plenty of parking, wheelchair access easy in fact one can...drive direct to the door and drop folks off. First time I'd been here despite living in the area for 19 years. So they have the steaks down pat. Nice, juicy, tender, although the 400g rump was better endowed with fat than the smaller 250's, meaning it probably wasn't worth the substantial hit pricewise for the heftier serve. Notwithstanding, the 3 steak people were happy with their meals. Pizza man found that his meat lovers was not substantially different from what one may buy at Dominos. Toppings VERY light on, and fairly nondescript sauce. As he described it, fairly dominos esq. Except Dominos has more toppings!! The real show stealer though was the Graziers Pie. Said to be served with buttered peas, fried onion rings and on a bed of mash. When the dish arrived I actually laughed. I know it's probably improper, and believe me I tried to maintain my composure, but if ever there was a dish that belonged either on the kiddies menu, the entree menu ... or the seniors at best it was this. It was presented with precisely 2 and a half yes two and a half thin onion rings. Maybe a desert spoon of flimsy peas straight from the freezer, having bypassed the butter dish completely, and when they say on a bed of mash, it's pretty literal. The pie is sitting on a mash ring of a similar calibre!! Off to the side, somewhat like a messy imploded black hole was a smudge for want of a better word of a relish of sorts. Check it out in the pics for a good laugh! Photo not doctored!! The pie itself was quite high, but don't be fooled ... it's mostly air. The sauce thin and nondescript, not unlike a packet gravy. To be fair I think I did find one chunk of meat ... and it was right at the end, so that's a bonus. Always good to actually have something to savour while the others were squirming with their delicious steaks. The mash was **** nice. Could have done with a good serve of it too!! Luckily some needed a hand with some stray chips, or this would have been one of those dismal nights where one pays a motza for a meal then has to go home and find something to eat. So the score here wasn't easy. The pie was a 1.5, the pizza probably below par with mainstream, but the whole shebang was brought up the rankings by the steaks. The moral of the story ... they do steaks well. Get them. Save yourself some dime and settle for the 250's.
