Tomyumbar - Tomsk

Tomyum bar is a home away from home. we want to bring it with us to the united states. if they find themselves in tomsk, this restaurant is a must. amazing interieur, amazing eating, amazing people. even the music is great. we had all tom yum and tom kai, the green curry, the Alaskan reels, the limonade, the wonderful pad thai and pho. oh, and the raves! wow! as well as always. if they need a cozy little dinner or lunch, they come here. the menu says spicy goes up to three, but they will do four or five. only to be prepared.

Tom yam and tom kha are just like in Tae. The portions are large and filling. Pancakes are 3 pieces of it, but after the soup they did not make an impression. The basil citrus tea is delicious. Dinner for two cost 2000 rubles. The hall has high ceilings, there are 3 tables on the street, but they are somehow uncomfortable: the pillows are gray, as if they are dirty. On the tables are small vases with goldfish. Том ям и том кха совсем, как в Тае. Порции большие и сытные. Блинчики нем порция 3 штуки, но после супа не произвели впечатления. Чай с базиликом и цитрусом восхитителен. Ужин на двоих обошёлся в 2000₽. В зале высокие потолки, есть 3 столика на улице, но они какие то неуютные: подушки серые, как будто грязноватые. На столах маленькие вазочки с золотыми рыбками.

In my opinion, this is the best Thai experience you can find in Russia. Well, not only in Russia but I think in Thailand as well. Their Tom Yum Gung (499rub) is a real deal both in quality and its price. It tastes better than in many places back in Bangkok. Also, which is a very unexpected find, they have Som Tam Gung on their menu (499rub). I need to warn you that its spiciness leve is really Thai Hot. While it was nice to see Som Tam somewhere outside of Thailand, I've got a feeling that it was a bit too bland. I won't let suggest putting a bit more honey, fish sauce... just to make it a bit richer in taste. Also it was missing, I believe the main ingredient, dried shrimps and peanuts. So yeah, I really enjoyed my dinner here. P.S. They have Singha!

Some of the best Tom Yam and Tom Kha (with chicken) we've tried in Russia. Interesting hot appetizer Three Mushrooms. Good service. Our Lamb dish was too salty so we called it out to the waitress. She briefly tried to explain that it's normal but quickly agreed to take it back to the kitchen. A few minutes later she came back saying the chef has decided that the sauce was indeed too salty. They offered us to remove it from our check or cook it again with less salt. We chose the former. A few minutes later they brought us complimentary deserts as a token of appreciation.

I was there 2 times. The food itself is tasty. BUT, the waitress didn't allow me put the Lipton which I bought from outside on the table.
