On our road trip found it by surprise. Ordered meal of the day. No surprise. The price are on the street. Simple family restaurant. Home made food. Very tasty home of Portugal. An enjoyable time.
Mesa de frades is a hole in a wall in tomar, and its to what I gathered and tasted traditional home cooked Portuguese food. The flavors seemed legitimate. The prices here were very affordable and it was nice to see locals eat here. The lady who served us, was also the cook and I must say we were very happy with our Portuguese meal.
