La Rustica - Tolox

Like always La Rustica (Paco) gives you a friendly service. It´s been a while that we have a meal there but it was great Spanish food on a very reasonable price. We recommend if you are in the neighborhood pay them a visit and try their menu of the day.

We first visited this restaurant in 2016, where they made us exceedingly welcome after we had been covered in talcum powder at the Shrove Tuesday festival (look on Google for festival details). We went back to visit the village a few days ago, go to the Wednesday market and have lunch at La Rustica, as it had been so good. My wife and I had a lovely 3 course lunch, with bread and a drink included, for about 8 Euros. The food was rustic, hearty and filling it was also delicious. Again, we were made welcome, the service was first class and the view over the valley is outstanding. The toilets are also good! It is obviously a popular venue with the locals (always a good sign) and the odd tourist had discovered it too. Highly recommended.

This small family restaurant is good value for menu del dia . Typical regional cooking, good choice for each course. The owner didn 't speak English so good idea to have an idea of the names of meats etc in spanish, eg pollo chicken. A challenge but good fun.

They do not serve meals. Bar with many flies inside and lousy service.
