Handel's Homemade Ice Cream - Toledo

Are there places worth making an out-of-state trip for? Yes, and this is one of them. Handel's is an ice cream shop that uses premium quality ingredients. I have seen them post a sign in the past that they wouldn't have a flavor that year because they didn't deem the fruit crop for it to be up to par. They would rather not have something than have it be substandard. So you can expect to have a delightful experience. How can I rank it? If you have been to Coldstone, this is 50% better. That is my opinion, of course, but Handel's gave me enough pause that I worked out a new rating system. Go try something there! Yes, they are sure enough that you will like it that they give out free samples. They also have dozens of flavors, many of them unique. If you have trouble deciding after that, remember that you can get 2-3 flavors on a cone or in a quart. Enjoy!

Handel's sundaes are absolutely fantastic! The flavors are completely mouthwatering, and I'm completely hooked on this place. They offer a wide variety of ice cream flavors and excellent toppings. The customer service is friendly and welcoming. My family and I really enjoy coming here; it's definitely one of our favorite ice cream spots!

Keep an eye on your receipts; they tend to alter the tip amounts, and the corporate office won’t reach out to you about it. Just to clarify: I’ve never had an issue with tipping since the service is usually quick. I don’t understand why someone would jeopardize their job over just $10.
