Flower Drum - Toledo

I've been going here for 38yrs. So I absolutely know when something is different. Yes the food is still good but not as consistent as when Mimi and her husband were there, and certain dishes taste different. But I've always bragged about flower drum for 38yrs. I've introduced ALOT of my friends to flower drum over the years that still say its the best they've ever had, and I agree. Just miss seeing Mimi tho.

I rated the atmosphere 2 stars because everything is done at the entrance; nobody is allowed inside. However, the food was excellent and reasonably priced, and I definitely got my money's worth in terms of portion size. Unlike other Chinese restaurants I've tried, which tend to overcharge and serve smaller portions, I will definitely be returning to the Flower Drum from now on.

Honestly, I can't complain. I had a very specific order with multiple modifications, and despite being very busy this evening my order was fairly swift and 100% accurate. The gentleman gave me two sodas for the wait without me complaining.

Got their General Tsos with fried rice and an egg roll. The chicken was fine. The fried rice wasn't that great and it had way too many bean sprouts in it. The egg roll was awful. It was extremely sweet (tasted heavy of brown sugar) and not crispy.

I dine there regularly, and I've never had anything I didn't enjoy. The spring rolls and shrimp fried rice are just a couple of my favorites. The ordering process is always straightforward and quick.
