Loving Hut - Tokyo

Food is great. They make some really nice gyoza and steamed buns. There is tons of vegan protein here (soy meat and TVP mince). The downside is the plastic box system, which I think they implemented during world events in 2021. I wish the choice was bigger and there was a different kind of system for the buffet. A new/different Loving Hut branch opened in Nishi-Nippori end of July 2023. This particular store is rebranding into a different kind of restaurant by August 2023.

Good option for the neighborhood. Everything is already boxed up, so it is ideal for takeout, although you can also eat there.

Everything we tried was delicious, and we tried a lot of food! The owner is also very friendly and chatty.

I was doubtful at first since it was all premade meals and you just grab and go. Man was I ever blown away by the quality of the food. Everything, absolutely everything was a banger. Incredibly amazing taiwanese food, I'm definitely going here again to grab takeout before my flight back to Canada. The place is run by an elderly couple, it was fun talking to the grandpa for a good while.

This place is so nice. It’s just off the main road and the hosts are two of the loveliest people you’ll ever meet. They’re so happy to see you and are just so warm and welcoming. And then the food… SENSATIONAL!!!! Do yourself a favour try the garlic Karaage. We had two servings of it. (And they’re a decent size too!!!
