This place looks small, but it has an upstairs and backside room. All the vegan gyoza here rocks. I got the boiled, w/ you lin sauce (lightly fried), and karaage (deep fried). In my opinion, lightly fried and boiled were the best in that order. Everything was pretty quick. However, we came in the morning when it was not busy. This place is my top pick for Tokyo of the places I went. Updated from previous review on 2023-04-02
3 vegan options, the regular vegan ones are delicious, there are fried ones as well. Open all day, English menu on tablet
Considering how almost everything in Japan has fish in it, or is cooked in fish, I was so happy to find this place and discover it has three different options, though only one is labeled vegan. Pro tip order through the iPad at the table and use google translate app to snap a photo of the screen to complete the process, as the English menu has the item descriptions but the “add to order” and “confirm” are still in Japanese.
As touristy as it could get, but they got their gyoza right, wide selection range, fried, steam, boiled, whatever type of gyoza, they've got one for you. I'd recommend the fried and cutlet, worth a visit if you happen to be in the heart of Shinjuku.
