Vega Bega - Timişoara

The ambient is awful, with huge pig head drawn and moto pork to the people . They have vegan menu but it is hidden and given only upon request. The waiter says they have only normal milk for the coffee. They brag about the food, which is tasty but not spectacular, and portions are a bit smaller than expected. The decoration and serving of vegan optiona seems to be far worse than for nonvegan ones.

The French fries were actually really good. The bun was really cold, the patty was somewhat warm even I was almost the only person inside and cheese wasn’t melted. Taste was okayish although.

It’s a meat place with a separate vegan menu. Yes, it is confusing, but if you are in a mixed company, it’s a good place to go. The burgers are tasty, there are nice side dishes, prices are good. Overall positive experience. I reccomend strongly the maple mayo!!! Best. Sauce. Ever.

Good food, helpful staff. Not sure that I would recommend the place for vegans and vegetarians, as the venue is mostly concentrated “Meat Busters” , the vegan menu is separated but prepared in the same kitchen. With the word “vegan” seems inappropriate, restaurant with “plant-based options” would be better suited burgers are good, but the bread is a little dry and tasteless. For the Romanian comparison quite expensive. Very friendly staff, had to print the menu for us. It felt weird going in this restaurant. Not the biggest or best vegan burgers I had, big truffle-mayo though.
