La Casa de Champa - Tilcara

Amazing café, friendly staff, great ambience and delicious food. The coffee was also the best we found in Tilcara. We would highly recommend!

This place serves the best cakes I had in a long, long time. The owners are German descendants and their cakes are based on the original German recipes! I especially recommend the apple strudel of the owner's grandmother, which is delicious! The teas are also great and the service and it is totally affordable. A place you want to come back to.

Hard to find, but we stayed. At 7:45 p.m., they advised at 8:00 p.m., so we decided to come another day. We arrived at 11:15 and this time she said she was not open yet, while last time she said open at 9. Probably the best cakes in town, but we'll never know. .

Champa and Christina will certainly have one if not the best food / teahouse in Tilcara. We'll be back. It feels like home. Tilcara is certainly a jewel and leaves you breathless.

This is such a wonderful little tea room! When we walked in we were welcomed by the wonderful smell of freshly baked biscuits (which were served to us in a little dish as a complementary treat whilst we waited for our tea and cake . We tried the apple strudel and the torta negra both of which were absolutely delicious. The tea was also a real treat wonderful loose leaf teas available in all sorts of different blends. The owner was really lovely too and the prices are very reasonable : highly recommend this place, particularly for any homesick Brits craving a really good cup of tea.
