Chef Massimiliano Musso and his team have created a truly magical restaurant. The dinning is set with the walls of where his Great Grandfather opened a bar about 90 years ago. That evening Musso prepared a meal that showed his knowledge and talent of his local Piedmontese cuisine, while blending his own style and modern flare to the food. Bravo
Recommended by friends in New York, we booked this restaurant for our current trip to Piemonte. We were very pleased we did. Situated in the small historical village of Tigliole d'Asti, we arrived and were greeted by the chef's wife who spoke excellent English. Shown around the terrace and given an explanation of how the same family had run the restaurant since 1928, we had high expectations as we were shown to our table in the beautiful dining room, and we were certainly not disappointed. We chose the four course degustation menu with a superb Barbara d'Asti 2011. We were offered a generous array of Amuse Bouche, followed by Rabbit served on smoked Capsicum, Agnellotti with shrimp and pea broth, Lamb with a liquorice cream sauce and spinach leaf then finished with a dessert of Hazlenut and Blueberry parfait and finished with generous petit fours and a fine Moscato. Every dish was totally delicious, beautifully presented, perfectly seasoned and with a taste to match. Service was impeccable. Overall, a fantastic and memorable dining experience. Do not miss this restaurant if you are visiting the Piemonte area.
