Banya Sushi - Tigard

Came here with friends, sat at one of the lowered tables, pretty cool setup I liked the decor. The sashimi was really good, the fish tasted fresh and delicious. The rolls were also good, the fire Viking was fun as it was actually on fire the roll was good too although the cheese threw me off a bit but not in a bad way. The monkey brain appetizer had a ton of tuna in it. Would come back!

I haven't dined in at the restaurant, but the takeout is impressive. I love the option of getting sushi alongside my teriyaki, and I bet you'll enjoy it too!

This is definitely one of my favorite sushi spots in the greater Portland area. I love the quality of the food, the variety on the menu, the atmosphere, and the service. Among everything I tried, the monkey brain was truly the standout dish.

It seems that the previous Korean owner must have sold this restaurant. The ambiance is nice, and the soup and salad were tasty. My husband enjoyed the sushi combo. My oyako donburi was decent, but it didn't quite match my previous experiences. I think it was lacking the caramelized onions that usually enhance the dish, and there was an overpowering amount of garlic.

This sushi restaurant is owned by a Korean couple and offers a fantastic dining experience. The husband is the head chef, while his wife takes care of the serving. The flavors of the dishes are undeniably excellent. Although you might get the impression that the woman serving isn’t the friendliest, I believe that's just her way—nothing personal.
