Shamrock - Thurmont

Ingenious place to have a great meal, a little pricier than the average restaurant, but worth it...

We eat here a few times a year. We love the atmosphere, the friendly service and the seafood lures on the menu served with fresh vegetables in the season from their garden. Your desserts are decadent for sharing at the end of a meal with a finish cup of Irish coffee in a Shamrock cup you can take home. Always a pleasant meal and experience, and at the end we take home something special as a reminder of our visit to their gifts.

This is one of our all time favorites. Their pies are amazing and we always take some home. Their entrees and sandwiches are always fresh and tasty. We particularly enjoy the reuben sandwich and the fish and chips. But you should be aware the sandwiches don't come sides but you won't mnd because they are very generous.

Great staff and the food is really good ! Highly recomend the roast duck or the seafood sampler. Oh, and the peach ice cream, too. 10 yums!

Stop for an early St. Patrick's Day dinner and as always we were not disappointed! Excellent beef, cabbage, green beans and red potatoes. A delicious meal with her amazing Irish toffee pudding! I usually get something from the seafood menu, but today I went for traditional Irish fare. Very recommended!
