THe Tandoori - THURGOONA

We decided to try the take away from here as we love Indian food as a treat and it was disappointing from the start. Their online ordering system was easy to use but, pricey. When we arrived to collect the food at the prescribed time, btw, 90 minutes after we ordered. They had lost our order, then they found it but could not tell what we ordered. Then after 10 minutes of mucking around had to proceed to cook it while we waited. When we eventually got the food home it was bland, tough and in smaller than normal trays. The naan was single servings which also wasn't specified on the menu as we find most other restaurants are 2 to 3 pieces per serving. Dissapointing and won't be going back.

In early April we were on route from Port Campbell to Sydney, and stayed overnight in Albury. On a recommendation we tried the Tandoori for supper, and are glad we did. My wife and I shared a delicious Chicken Koorma - it was mouth-watering. Family run, this little gem will surely gain more clientele as its reputation spreads.

Fairly good food for the price you pay. The naan from here is really good. Just dont expect delivery to be on time.
