The Boot - Three Rivers

This was my birthday Sunday Lunch celebration with family many of whom live locally and had heard that the Boot was renowned for its Sunday roast. First off the service was excellent friendly, polite, prompt, great with the two kids etc. starters were all good langoustine, squid, kofti etc The problem and for me and my guests a big one) was we were all specifically asked how we wanted our beef cooked. We all wanted rare. However on arrival all servings were at best medium not even medium rare, let alone rare. I did think about sending it back should have done) but that would have spoilt the occasion and left 3 guests eating alone. The kitchen is catering for big numbers and I question how they can deliver bespoke roast which is why I also suspect they possibly pre cook the beef “sous vide” if so how can that be served as rare? It was very disappointing. I fed back to the manager who apologised offered us complimentary coffee which we declined) but if your roasts are a highlight you need to do better I’m afraid.

Situated opposite the Green in Sarratt. Plenty of parking on site and in the surrounding areas. A quaint Pub with lots of history Very friendly waitresse, who quickly too our food drinks order. Food was delicious and well presented Would definitely revisit Cannesdid .... surfingsyd

Awesome gem that I’ve found just by searching for kid-friendly places reasonably close to all relatives and friends invited to my son’s third birthday. It’s the sort of place that would deserve to exceed the usual review scale, six stars would at least be required to represent the distance between The Boot and many other places that I reviewed with 5 stars. Ever since we set foot into this great pub, we’ve been welcomed with smiles and a level of kindness that other places reserve only for returning guests. The food was delicious and reasonably priced and there’s a wide range of good cocktails, beers and wines available. The kids play area is wonderful and my son played all afternoon. There are also many tables close to the play area so adults can have food there while keeping an eye on their children. The weather wasn’t great so we had food indoors, and even if our table was near the kitchen, no smell or noise disturbed us. All the staff sang Happy Birthday to my son while taking the cake that we had been allowed to bring over, and overall it’s been a perfect day. I will definitely look for opportunities to come back here.

The vibe at this place is amazing, our server Zoe was absolutely lovely and the pork belly roast was to die for! Gorgeous! 10/10!

We were a group of fifteen who had been on a five mile walk and wanted to finish the evening with a good meal. Communication with the pub before the day had been excellent, emails were responded to swiftly and an easy way of ordering and paying organised. On the evening the table was ready for us when we arrived and drink orders were taken immediately. The waiters were kind, patient and extremely efficient. Everyone’s meals were attractive to look at and very tasty. Portion sizes were very generous. The Sticky salmon was particularly popular. The Boot had gone to the trouble of creating individual bills, which avoided any irritating conversations about who owed what! A small thing, but one that added to a lovely evening with friends old and new. Thank you Zoe and team.
