Horvath's Harbor - Thornville

Ask for a spot on the patio! I mean, if you can and the weather allows. The patio at Horvath 's Harbor is large, with lots of tables and seating right by a strip of water. Maybe it 's a harbor I don 't know. That would make sense, though, right? Considering this restaurant has harbor in its name. Let 's just say that the strip of water right by the restaurant is a harbor. I was enchanted by the water and also by the service at Horvath 's. The servers were exceedingly kind and brought me my food and drink very quickly. I ordered a Blueberry Basil Mule, which is the house specialty drink. It 's basically a Moscow Mule but with housemade blueberry basil syrup. It was sweet but refreshing. It was the perfect warm weather beverage.There were so many things on the menu that sounded good to me: burgers, salads, wraps, tacos, etc. I couldn 't decide what to get, so I got an appetizer sampler, which was a couple of spring rolls, roasted Brussels sprouts and mac and cheese bites. All of the appetizers were tasty! It was nice to have a variety. They do Happy Hour specials here, and I happened to visit during their Happy Hours, so my drink and appetizers were discounted! Yes! I would have gladly paid full price for what I got, but I was even happier paying less, because I like saving money.

Best quality food and service around the lake. We tried the Thom's turkey sammie and the nachos with chicken. Turkey is served warm, the garlic parm fries were hot and crunchy, and the chicken on nachos was grilled chicken breast.

A delicious restaurant with a cozy ambience. The fish tacos were good, a bit salty though. The lobster roll was scrumptious . Will definitely be back to try the seasonal beer.

We waited 2 hours for our food . Because I was told the kitchen helped all called off for the county fest How nice .We come to this area every year for the Backwoods Festival, and coming here was always a highlight after a long day of selling at the festival..We were told many times our food would be right out that we were next as we watched others get there food that came after us . We were gave a free plate of chips and a $6 discount after waiting two long hours .I always bragged about this place to other vendors .

Not the same 5 star experience we were expecting based on past eating exp. here.Tonight we ordered for the first time the Lobster Mac which was unfortunately SO BAD it was similar in quality to carnival food, in that it was OVER FRIED with just a few SMALL lobster balls, COVERED with LOTS of GREASE.After taking a few bites we informed the waitress, who was very nice but made no mention of apology or replacing this uneatable meal; we finally asked that we be accommodated on our bill for the 98% of the returned meal ...... AND THEY TOOK OFF 10%..... $4.10.Since it was our anniversary, we still left a nice tip since we believe the waitress was just following instructions (or at least we 'd like to think so).We have eaten here 4 other times with our parents but can 't see us going back.
