Main Sushi - Thornhill

The restaurant offers generous portion sizes and tasty food! I really enjoy the way they season their sushi rice. Although the color may be a bit strange at first, the taste perfectly complements the fish. The prices are also very reasonable compared to other sushi restaurants in the area.

This restaurant offers excellent service, delicious food, and generous serving sizes! I particularly enjoyed the sushi, especially the chirashi Don. I disagree with other reviews that claim it's too expensive - in my opinion, the quality justifies the price. My husband and I ordered the dinner for two set and were very pleased with the portions. We recently moved to the area and are thrilled to have found this hidden gem!

I regret going to this restaurant tonight. It completely ruined my daughter's birthday dinner. The server was friendly, but her constant use of "Okay" at the end of each sentence was a bit annoying. The food, however, was a huge disappointment. The sushi had no flavor at all - the salmon tray for two and the Tako yaki seemed like they were just bought from a supermarket freezer. The miso soup was decent, but the salad dressing was unpleasant and unappetizing. The salmon sushi was bland, the rice was soggy, and the rolls were also lacking in taste. We couldn't even finish a third of our meal, despite being very hungry. I only asked for the leftovers to be packed because my daughter insisted, fearing it would hurt the cook's feelings to leave so much food uneaten. The plates were cheap plastic and I even found an unwashed item in the water cup. We didn't complain, but left quickly and promptly threw away the packed sushi outside the restaurant. We used to enjoy this place when it was called Gal Sushi under different ownership. I should have known better than to come back when I saw it had been renamed Main Sushi. It's doubtful that the cook here has ever received proper training in making sushi.

I ordered yesterday, the fish looked and tasted old. I then go sick afterwards and had the worst cramps. Literally the worst sushi I’ve ever had

Brand new renovated Japanese sushi and izakaya. Great atmosphere, delicious fish imported directly from Japan! So good!
