Asian Legend - Thornhill

Always a delicious meal. Portion sizes were generous. Service was excellent. Our water glasses were constantly filled and the food arrived quickly and hot. Plenty of parking. Washrooms relatively clean. Nice touch having a dispenser of wipes at each table. Serving staff fully masked.

Good typical Asian Legend dishes as other locations. Well seasoned and not too salty. Really enjoyed the green onion pancake fried nice and crisp. Decent service.

Busy parking lot and difficult to find spots but once inside the food was excellent. On the other hand, service was more sporadic. Wondered if the tables with Asian diners got more attentive attention.

Tasty Shanghai food. I like the dumplings and beef noodle. Table with distancing in effect. Service is good. Will come again.

On Friday, January 24, 2020, around 4:00 pm, the Chinese New Year eve, I was ready for a good meal. Alas, the service was so poor. There were not many diners at that hour. The waitresses were talking among themselves, very loudly; the tone of voices was not polite or pleasant. I was given a pot of tea, and a set of clean dishes, then nothing. I waited and waved for a menu and was ignored. I had to get up to ask for it. But then, I had lost my appetite. I have been to 5 different locations of Asian Legend, the service at this one at Commerce Valley is always at the bottom. The waiters talk too loud, and the dishes rattle or crash terribly when they clean the tables, and the attitude towards the customers tends to be a bit abrasive. Other locations of Asian Legend surely offer up much better service.
