Culinary Designs - Thornbury

I have recently attended two different events catered by Culinary Designs. The food and service was great at both events. One sit down plated dinner with passed appetites to start. The other passed appetites with buffet dinner and dessert bar. The food at both events were fresh and flavorful filled with lots of seasonal ingredients and color. The chef was delightful and took real pride in his work. He also had a great sense of humor. The service staff were equally great. They helped execute the vision right from setup to clean up. They were very professional and friendly. I will definitely hire for any future events.

We hired Season to cater our 150+ wedding. It was a disaster. The food that Season served us for our wedding tasting was great and were were confident that she could deliver. BUT the food she served at our wedding was an embarrassment and nothing like we had agreed. She is inconsistent and to top it off, she refused to take any responsibility for her failure. Don't take a gamble on this caterer!

We chose to work with Culinary Designs for our 100+ guest wedding based on our initial meeting, the menu they proposed for us and their locality to our wedding. They prepared a trial meal for us so we could try each plated meal as well as each appetizer. The food was really good! We were able to provide feedback for what we thought worked as well as what we would like changed and they were absolutely supportive and attentive. We kept in contact throughout the wedding planning process and Culinary Designs was always easy to reach. The wedding day went off very well. The appetizers we gorgeous and delicious. The plated meals all came out in good order. The plated meals were by no means easy to pull off but they all came out great! Our guests commonly came to us throughout the night to tell us how great they thought the food was. We agreed. Culinary Designs was a professional, friendly and attentive caterer and we could not have been more pleased with the execution on our wedding day. Would definitely recommend.

I was a guest at a wedding who unfortunately hired Culinary Designs to cater their event. Not only was the FOOD absolutely terrible the SERVICE was equally bad. The operation was hugely unsuccessful, the food was not cooked properly, many of the dishes that were to be served did not make it to the table at all, some items were inedible (such as falafel balls that never made it to the deep fryer), the wait staff were rude, unaccommodating and many guests had to ask for a main course because they saw other tables had received one and they diidnt. Everyone at the wedding was astounded by the low quality food and could hardly believe that the bride and groom had done an actual tasting pre wedding that was up to their standards. DO NOT RECOMMEND THESE CATERERS TO ANYONE YOU EVEN SLIGHTLY CARE ABOUT..... EVERRRRRRRRRR

I was recently at a wedding catered by Culinary Designs was disappointed in the quality but most the quantity of food served. Upon speaking with the bride and groom I realized that CD majorly failed to deliver what was promised. -Cold and partially cooked food. -Not presented in the way it was agreed upon. -Not enough food leaving people very hungry. -Served an non-Kosher style meal when it was very clearly stated that it MUST BE KOSHER. -food that was paid for never made it on the tables or to guests. -vegetarian options were a major fail leaving all non meat eaters with only side dishes to pick it.Overall this was not a good experience at all and is shocking that Culinary Designs Catering has a well rounded 5-star rating. I WOULD NEVER HIRE THEM FOR A PARTY…. EVER
