Bruce Wine - Thornbury

We had a fantastic dinner on Saturday night with a group of five. The atmosphere was warm and inviting, the server was incredibly knowledgeable, and the food and wine were among the best I've had in a long time. They offer an excellent selection of top-quality wines, paired with attentive wine service. While it is on the pricier side, it is definitely worth every penny. Highly recommend!

We sat upstairs at the bar and had a wonderful waiter who was attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu, which really helped us decide on our choices. A nice touch was the complimentary champagne toast they offered us, making the experience even more memorable. To start, we shared the olives, sourdough, and beef tartare, both of which were light and refreshing. For our main courses, I had the fresh market fish, which turned out to be scallops, while my husband ordered the "Beast." Both dishes were exceptional and left us wanting more—it's a shame we were too full for dessert! We will definitely make it a point to return next time we're in the area.

Slow but friendly service. We ordered 4 beers and one glass of wine and one beer came out almost room temperature. The risotto was a great dish, prepared well, as was the chicken and the tuna, and the polenta fries were a clear highlight but two pizzas were slightly overdone and the service overall felt lackadaisical, like we were an afterthought. We have two infants with us but we're prepared to order more food and drink than we did. I understand small town dining will naturally be more easy going than urban areas, but we still expect to be treated as equals to other customers despite having children or being out of towners.Kid friendliness: They supplied us with a lobster high chair, which was helpful.

Such an awesome experience, really enjoyed it! I was here for a bachelorette lunch and everything was perfect.

We came to Thornbury for a mini vacay at Penny's we ate here 2 nights in a row. The food was excellent but the staff was beyond excellent!!! I cannot remember the bartenders name but has great hair and flamingo shirt and he was fabulous!!! Highly recommend!! Great vibe!! We will be back!!
