Sugam- Amutham - Thoothukkudi

We stayed in deluxe room for 2 days had the worst ever experience staying here. Intercom didn’t work and we had to dial from our mobile phone for room service. After we checked in, It was a nightmare for 4 hours with no water supply in rest room. We stayed in 3rd floor for the full time of our stay we had to use the stairs since the lift didn’t work. TV also didn’t work but that wasn’t a main concern as this was a business trip. There are best hotels in Tuticorin to consider you’re at risk if you’re opting to stay at Hotel Sugam. Don’t worry if you can’t find a safety locker as the AC is broken has a big hole in it. Bed is like a carton box painful to sleep on the dirty bed. Stay in Hotel Sugam was painful.

This hotel is decent but there are many flaws, I'm being generous with 3 stars because the room and food is decent but that's the end of the good thing's to say. The room: The room i stayed in was decent with nice view and nice working AC but the AC remote didn't work and they didn't even provide covering sheets or blankets on the bed. And the next day when i wanted to have a bath the water heater started smoking, which was a little scary. Food: The food was very delicious indeed but there was only 3 to 4 options for breakfast and i have only eaten breakfast there so far and if something changes i will change my ratings and review. Service: The staff is friendly and they will help but they won't do anything unless told, which is okay but when i have to tell them to provide sheets/blankets for my room for example it's a little sad honestly. In fairness when i told them that i had no sheets/blankets and the water heater started smoking they took action immediately which was nice. Overall i would say it's a decent hotel with decent food and decent service but i wouldn't recommend it for example a family or a couple. Again i might have been placed in a less than desirable room and the other room's are a lot better but my review is from my experience and i think out of 5 stars 3 stars is being generous but i don't really mind it all.

The worst hotel I have ever stayed in my life. The room service is very very poor. The building is very old and has deep cracks on the walls in the balcony. It is very dangerous for guests to hang around in the balconies. My suggestion is, never stay at this place whatsoever.

The chicken 65 at this restaurant is fantastic! It's one of the best I've ever tried. I enjoy coming here for dinner because they also offer a great variety of other dishes, especially their parotta and butter chicken.

Terrible management. There were only two servers for 8 tables. We waited for 15 minutes without anyone coming to assist us. If you have the patience, you can try this horrible hotel.
